DIALOG

Curtain - open

LX-1401 Lights on, reddish white as ambience, rose emphasis on guests on first level, slight movements in moving heads; 2nd level left protagonists spot-mh fading from dark to white; 2nd level right dancer spot-mh white; all a little dark and muted

MUS-1401 - Music Cue 01

Olaf, Zoe and Robin are sitting around the ClubTable1, enjoying a shisha together.

RATS-bubbles add the sound when Olaf, Zoe or Robin smoke

Robin: "All right, it's been almost an hour, are you sure he didn't bail the moment you left the room?"

Zoe: "He said he needs some time to make up his mind."

Robin: "Unlike you, right?"

Zoe: "I know he's a good guy!"

Robin: "There's ... something about him I just can't place. And let's not forget he's still a dog."

Zoe: "Wolf."

Robin: "Worse. But maybe we shouldn't hand him the keys to the castle right away, that's all I'm saying."

Ryan enters from [1]

Robin, Zoe, Olaf look at Ryan

Ryan looks at everyone looking at him

Ryan: "Why do I feel like everyone's just judging me in cat?"

Olaf: "Stop worrying and make yourself comfy, it's gonna be a long night."

Ryan: "Uh oh."

Ryan walks over and sits on the free bean bag in [5].

Zoe: "Sooo ... did you make up your mind?"

MUS-1403 - Music Cue 03

Ryan: "Yeah. I'm going to stay. If you want me."

Zoe: "Whohooooooooooooo!"

Zoe GLOMPS Ryan

Ryan: "Hmmmmpf!"

Zoe: "That is awesoooome! We're going to have so much FUN together! Mrrrrrrrrrrr!"

Zoe rubs herself all over Ryan in an overexcited kitten kind-of-way

Ryan tries to push her away

Ryan (chuckles): "Okay, okay, I get it, it seems **you** really want me here, but what about the others ..."

Robin (rolling her eyes): "It's fine ..."

Olaf: "Yeah, we need all the help we can get right now. Welcome to the club."

MUS-1404 - Music Cue 04

Ryan: "Thank you."

Zoe kneels next to Ryan, "making cookies" with her paws on his chest. 

Zoe: "Mrrrow!"

Ryan petpets Zoe's head.

Zoe purrrrrrrrs.

Ryan: "Oh my Zoe, you are one clingy kitty."

Zoe gets really close, whispering

Zoe (whispering): "I'm just very happy right now! Aren't you, too?"

Ryan starts scratching her back.

Ryan: "Yes, but ..."

Zoe purrs louder, getting fidgety in his lap.

Robin: "Zoe! Calm down! It's happening again!"

MUS-1405 - Music Cue 05 (Rythm!)

Ryan: "What?"

Zoe is getting noticeably excited, her tail lashing back and forth

Zoe suddenly bites down on Ryan's shoulder, claws digging into his back (like petting an over-stimulated cat)

Ryan (staring at Zoe): "Ca ... can we take it a little bit slower, please?"

Zoe: "RrrrrrrRRRRR!"

Zoe wiggles her behind

Ryan: "nnnnnnnnghaaaaaaa!"

Ryan tries to push her away but she has a firm grip with tooth and claw

Ryan (with Zoe on him) falls backwards

Bits of Ryan's fur go flying as she claws him

Ryan: "Aaaaargh! Help! Yaaaargh!"

Robin: "Olaf, get the emergency distraction, quick!"

Olaf: "Goddamit, why now ..."

Olaf dashes off stage [1]

Robin runs behind the bar counter [5, 2nd]

Olaf comes back from [1] with a super attractive stick that has colorful feathers attached to one end

Olaf: "Here, kitty kitty! Here, kitty kitty!"

MUS-1406 - Music Cue 06

Zoe stops, distracted.

Zoe: "Rrrrow!"

Zoe leaps off Ryan and chases Olaf around back and forth a bit, trying to catch the feathers.

Robin appears in [6, 2nd]

Robin: "Look here Zoe! Look what I haaaave!"

MUS-1407 - Music Cue 07

Robin reveals a giant ball of yarn

LX-1402 Highlight the bar area, fade back to normal again in 20s

Zoe: "OOOOOOOHHHHHHH!"

Robin: "Come on! Catch!"

Robin throws the ball of yarn at Zoe in [2]

Zoe catches the ball of yarn, landing on her back, clawing into the ball of yarn with all four paws, and biting it while kicking it with her hind paws.

Zoe: "Grrrrr! Hissss! Grrrrr!"

shreds of yarn go flying

SND-1402 - Scratch, Rip, Tear

Zoe begins to calm down, snapping out of her feral mindset again

Zoe breathes heavily, then slower and slower as she relaxes

Zoe sits up, shaking her head, realizing what she has done

Zoe: "Damn. I'm ... I'm so sorry. I don't know what happened."

Robin (angry): "You know damn well what just happened!"

Ryan climbs up from below, pulling himself up on the playrail. 

MUS-1408 - Music Cue 08

Ryan: "Uhm ... I think ... maybe ... I should move on after all ..."

Zoe rushes towards Ryan, being super embarrassed!

Zoe: "Nooononono! Please, that was an accident! I swear! I didn't mean to do that!"

Robin: "That's Zoe for you. She's ... special."

Olaf: "Sometimes she gets a little bit ... over-stimulated. And then she gets the zoomies."

Ryan: "Oh!"

Zoe: "I've got medication for it!"

Robin: "But she doesn't take it. And then this happens."

Zoe: "No, that's not true! I do take it. Just not today ... it helps me to focus, but it also ... often, it just makes me feel numb. And dizzy. And ... and ... uhnmmm."

Robin: "And it kills her sex drive."

Olaf: "Seems like she hoped something's gonna go down tonight!"

Zoe facepalms in shame

Ryan: "Oh. OH. So ... sorry for getting your hopes up, I guess."

Zoe stands up tall

Zoe makes a gesture like she's loading a gun

Zoe: "Tschick-tschick"

Zoe puts her index finger against her forehead

Zoe pretends to shoot herself

Zoe: "Pchhhhh!"

Zoe lets herself drop to the floor

Robin, Olaf, Ryan follow Zoe going down with their heads

Ryan: "*GULP*"

Robin: "Yeah. As Olaf said. Welcome to the club."

Ryan: "You don't beat around the bush, do you?"

Robin: "The only way to survive in this madhouse. Aaaaaanyways."

Ryan and Zoe pad back to their seats

Zoe takes a deep huff from the shisha

Robin picks up a piece of paper, her agenda, and looks at it

Robin: "There's something we have to talk about."

Olaf: "I heard the hearing didn't go so well."

Robin: "That's an understatement. This time they didn't just ignore me, they beat the shit out of me, then kicked me out."

Olaf: "Wow. Who is 'they'?"

Robin: "Chief Cross, to be specific."

Olaf: "Since when is he a member of the development committee?"

Robin: "He isn't. I think he just showed up because he knew the Cat City people would be there. My mom taught me that cats got to work twice as hard and be twice as smart. After what happened today, I'm so done with this shit. It's like we don't even exist to them."

Zoe: "I told you so!"

Robin: "Imagine an entire room full of dogs silently staring while you're getting stomped to the curb by a cop for no reason. We got to teach these dogs a lesson. Make them hear us!"

Zoe: "But where do we start?"

Ryan: "We need to bring these people to court."

Olaf: "Hah! To court. Does anyone here look like they've won the lottery?"

Zoe: "Maybe we could do a fundraiser or something."

Ryan: "Yeah! The Cat City legal defense fund!"

Zoe: "I've got a few followers on my Instagram ... I could setup a gofundme."

MUS-1412 - Music Cue 12

Robin: "You do you, Zoe. But I want more. We need to bring the people together who live here, not some random dudes on the internet. And that means taking to the streets, for everyone to see."

Olaf: "Yeah. It's time to tell those frauds to go fuck themselves!"

Ryan: "Be careful what you wish for. If the other people are only half as angry as you, your protest could turn into a riot before you know it. Especially with someone like Chief Cross taunting them."

MUS-1413 - Music Cue 13

Robin: "Absolutely. That's why I want to organize it more like a block party. But with a message! Music. Food. Funny Signs. Memes. He can't just barge in and beat up everyone who's just basically having a party. How would that make him look on the news?"

Ryan: "The news will report any copaganda the police will send them. Trust me, I know exactly how this works."

Olaf: "Expert level rioter?"

Ryan: "We gotta be careful, that's all I'm saying. The basics. Don't talk to cops. Stay hydrated. Cover your faces. Get volunteer medics. 9-1-1 won't help you when shit hits the fan. Everyone's gotta work together!"

Zoe: "Gotcha! I'll pack the picnic basket and get us some masks so they can't steal our souls!"

Robin: "And I'm going to get the posters printed!"

Olaf: "I'll keep an eye on the cops and make sure there'll be first aid when we need it!"

Everybody raises their fists in defiance! 

Robin: "Whose streets?"

Everybody: "Our streets!"

Robin: "Whose streets?"

Everybody: "Our streets!"
